I can't rate this accommodation highly enough. We had a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, 2 level villa. From the minute you walk in the door you say Wow, this is amazing. All amenities - gourmet kitchen, dish washer, coffee machine, dining, lounge, gas fire which we loved! Washing machine and drier. Hair drier. Heated bathroom floors! The beds were so comfortable with big soft pillows. Heaven in Queenstown!

We've stayed at Platinum Villas twice this year. Once in summer and once in winter. Each stay was enjoyable and super convenient to town. For our second stay, we invited another family and booked two villas side by side and were well accommodated by the staff. The villas have all the conveniences of home and great that you can keep up with laundry! I was worried that we would be cold over-night during our winter stay but the opposite was true — we were kept cosy and warm with heating upstairs and downstairs. The only negative is that the garages are quite narrow so we had to offload passengers before parking — but a minor hassle. The coffee machine was superb. We'll be back for sure. Summer or winter, the mountains and lake are phenomenal.

The villas were perfect and had everything we needed for a great family holiday. Short walk into town made the position of these villas the best we've stayed in after many years of coming to Queenstown.

My family of 5, all adults, stayed in a 3 bedroom unit for 4 nights. I definitely made the right choice picking Platinum Queenstown villas. We had a lake view which was spectacular! The unit had modern furnishings and very clean. Spacious and beautiful. Full kitchen with all necessary items. Fireplace was a delight on a cold day. And I really loved the heated tile floors in the bathrooms, very luxurious. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The walk into town is beautiful and takes about 15 minutes. We would often walk but a few times we took a cab into town for about $14NZ. There are many lodging options in town but nothing I saw could compare to this place.

Just back from our 4th stay at Platinum and the place simple gets better every time we go. For those who are reading past reviews simply believe them and book your accommodation as soon as you can; you wont be surprised. If you want to stay in an outrageously good valued / large / modern and spotlessly clean villa that is run by truly caring professional hosts that will do everything possible to make you stay enjoyable then make your booking I have had friends who have paid a higher tariff for a simple motel room in Q/T for what is charged at Platinum; although I cant for the life of me see why you would stay in a hotel. Special thanks to Alana and Ben who are truly great people but then again we have never had an issue with any of the team. We have already made tentative booking for 2020 and almost feel like part of the Platinum family. Cant wait to go back - roll on 2020.

We had an amazing stay at the Platinum Queenstown Villas up on Fernhill just minutes outside of downtown Queenstown. Over the years of traveling all over the world, my partner and I have developed a bit of a taste for luxury over economy, so we were completely blown away by the quality accommodation at PQV. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, and I just want to specifically call out Alana at the front desk / reservations for going so far out of her way for me to return a lost item through the post that I left behind when we checked out of the villa. Very thoughtful, kind and accommodating staff and that actual Villa itself was pure perfection. Sparkling clean, spacious, high-end, unbelievable views. 10/10 would stay here again in a heartbeat. (and definitely plan to, next time we're in Queenstown!)

We found this to be a great place to base ourselves for a few days in Queenstown. The villas are well equipped, spacious, modern facilities, and have excellent views. The staff seem quite invested in the running of the place, and are very friendly and helpful. It takes about 10 minutes to stroll to the town centre from here, about 12 minutes back because it's up a wee hill. Everything is conveniently to hand, and functions as it should. All I'd suggest is maybe some more hooks and maybe a shelf or two in the bathrooms. (I tend to think that about every hotel bathroom I've ever been in though, so maybe that's just me.) The kitchen layout/facilities are excellent. The open gas fire goes at the push of a switch, and is great in the evening to keep the chill off. During the day (it was late summer/early autumn) it was quite warm enough without it. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

What more do you need? Excellent family getaway - we have been before and will return again. The management and staff are equally friendly and helpful - always. Only a small distance away from all the entertainments in Queenstown but far enough away for peace and tranquillity. We hardly left the unit as we always come down to Queenstown for the magnificent views and comfortable surroundings. See you there next time!

Nice size villas with several bedrooms and big open plan kitchen. All villas on the right hand side of the entrance get a fabulous view over Lake Wakatipu. The rest looks towards the mountains in the back. All necessary amenities available, all of decent quality. In terms of location you walk 15 minutes into Queenstown and 20 to the next supermarket. The villas also offer grocery deliveries. Parking is available on the premise. Worth to mention is the fantastic service by the super friendly staff. Nothing is a problem.

As a family of 5 it's really hard to find reasonable and nice accommodation in Queenstown. Platinum was outstanding. It had 3 bedrooms, with enough beds for all of us, plus a great kitchen and dining area, and a nice lounge to relax in. The views we had were of the garden, but some have stunning views of the lake. It was extremely easy to book, find and enter (we arrived after reception was closed). There is parking for your car either in a (small) garage or off road, but not covered. I wasn't sure how it would go as it is out of town a little way, but we walked in one evening when we had a bit of time and it only took 20 mins. It's not a hard walk there, but back you have a hill to contend with. Not too hard though! If you're feeling adventurous take the 'nature' walk on your left as you head around the corner. The hill down is very steep, but it takes you off the road which is nice. When dealing with reception they were helpful and efficient. If we were back in Queenstown, I'd stay here without hesitation and will recommend to anyone else going there!

A little out of Queenstown but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it’s about a 20 minute glorious walk into town and an Uber back up the hill! Apartments are perfect, large, spacious, modern, clean and the view is spectacular of the lake and mountains. Staff were really friendly and stores our bags for us while we did our Doubtful and Milford Sound trips.

Absolutely loved the luxury platinum villas. It was definitely luxurious. Down stairs is spacious with a living room area with fireplace, an open kitchen with a dining area. It is all open and spacious. And you have everything you need in the kitchen. We even baked cookies in the oven. The only thing I missed down stairs is a toilet. Upstairs has three bedrooms, and two bathrooms. I would live there if I could. The villas are just outside the towns centre. It is about a fifteen minute walk to the wharf. The walk down is fine, the walk back is a bit uphill.

Overlooking the beautiful mountainous terrain and snow capped peaks on one side and on the other huge spread of water...lakes...and viewing the aircraft's land in between the two was fun. One of the most luxurious and well maintained property.

For starters; the pictures don't do justice to the location as the views are absolutely magical. We had booked the villa for 3 days and there is not one negative about this place. For anyone who prefers to stay indoors; this place is packed with all the essentials to sit back and relax on the couch: DVD players; home theatre system, fireplace, DVDs and games which can be rented from the more than helpful reception, a kitchen which is equipped with state of the art facilities. For outdoor enthusiasts; the villa is only a 10 minute walk from the happening town centre of Queenstown. I would definitely be visiting this place soon and would highly recommend platinum villas for anyone passing through this beautiful city. Cheers.

We are a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. We stayed 7 nights. The villa was excellent. Very clean cosy and added features such as heated towel rails underfloor heating in the bathroom and a fantastic gas fire. The views were fantastic. Bus stop at the door and $2 per trip anywhere on the bus network. We all went to Arrowtown for $8 each way. Staff were friendly even when we lost their last tennis balls. A bit pricey but everywhere in Queenstown is. Still the best value we could find.

The view there was breath-taking, we were at the centre of the lake facing villa row. The villas are extremely spacious with 3 bedrooms on the upper floor. Main bedroom faces lake and has a King sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. Other 2 bedrooms have a shared bathroom with 1 having a queen sized bed and another 2 twin single beds. The living room/ dining/ open kitchen were extremely big and we certainly enjoyed the fire place that made our stay during the recent cold spell so cosy. If walking to this development, do note that it is on higher grounds so there is a upwards slope to conquor that may be difficult especially for those with luggages. If arriving by vehicle, it's not an issue. Taxi to city centre is approximately NZ$10-12 range but the city centre is within walking distance. No housekeeping services during our stay but that was fine. This service however is available for those willing to pay a slight extra. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back again in future!

Everything about Platinum is perfect. From the booking experience to the check in staff to the accommodation. We booked the 3 bedroom, lake view apartment. It was worth every cent we paid. The view is breathtaking and even better than the photos! The facilities in the villa are fantastic. Very conformable for a family of four (Would be just as comfortable for 3 couples as well). Plenty of room. Everything provided is top quality. Full range of wine glasses. Good quality pots and pans and cooking facilities, surround sound speakers. Simple bedroom and bathroom linen - we couldn't fault a single thing. It really made our holiday very special and truly memorable. We actually scheduled in time to just hang out in the villa because we loved it so much!! Beautifully warm for a winter stay. Heating throughout the villa including underfloor bathroom heating and heated towel racks. Electric blankets, wall heaters throughout plus the beautiful gas feature fireplace in the main lounge room area. Excellent proximity to town. A short downhill stroll to the lakes edge. Just book it! You wont regret it.

An apartment which was not only comfortable but had great views!! They even had board games and barbeques to rent. They even had tennis rackets we could loan to play at their FREE tennis courts. The Villa is a short drive from the town centre so it was convenient to walk.

This villa was a dream. We had mountain and lake views. The fire place was a great place to warm up with a glass of wine. The extra comforts such as heated towel rails, heated tiles and umbrellas to name a few were very nice. You can get a cab in to town for $10 and a lot of restaurants deliver food. A great location and very comfortable.

Can highly recommend the Platinum Villas for a stay in Queenstown in summer. We had a lakeside apartment with uninterrupted stunning views of Lake Wakatipu and surrounding mountains. The ground floor has bi fold doors that can be fully opened out onto a lawn area to maximise the sense of space and connection to the outdoors. The apartments are well appointed with full kitchen and laundry facilities. I have to say I found the beds to be the comfiest I have ever experienced - probably because of the special woollen underlays that they offer for sale to guests because they get asked so frequently! The apartments are located up a hill at the end of the town centre - it is probably a 20 minute walk into the town centre and a slightly longer uphill climb back, but we enjoyed the exercise. Parking is at a premium so I wouldn't recommend driving into the town centre but taxis are readily available if you are looking for a trip home. All in all - a fabulous stay in a beautiful place!

Queenstown was our last stop in our two week holiday in New Zealand and we stayed at platinum villas which were a little out of town but had spectacular views of the bay and great Wi-Fi, great amenities and really comfortable bedding; the main bedroom had a bath ,very relaxing after walking around Queenstown and we were able to eat in a couple of nights; thoroughly recommend staying there and we will be booking return visit next year.

This is the 3rd time we have been lucky enough to stay at The Platinum Villas and we could not be more happy or sad when we leave - we just love the place. The entire process runs smoothly from check in (thanks Sinead) to one small maintenance issue (thanks Martin) and finally to check out (thanks Ben)The size of the units, washer dryer / fire place and full kitchen are all perfect when combating Queenstowns cold but fantastic weather and when combined with the view from the place is a winner. In some selfish way I dont want to speak so highly of Platinum as I want to keep it fully available for when we return again (already in the diary for 2019) but thats not fair as excellence needs to be rewarded. If you are lucky enough to be thinking about Platinum just go; you will not be disappointed.

We stayed for 10 days and having a villa of this quality made it very special. It was immaculate on arrival and warm (it was freezing outside!) The open lounge kitchen was great, comfy sofas and a gas fire. The view was spectacular - ever changing and worth getting up early to watch the sunrise. The kitchen had everything we needed. Heavy blackout curtains also helped with a great nights sleep. Its a nice walk into town - downhill then along the lake. We did catch a taxi back on occasion!
