Covid-19 Protocols

As a valued guest we want to let you know about our continued commitment to offering our outstanding service throughout the new Covid-19 Protection Framework.

Platinum Queenstown Luxury Villas will continue to operate at all levels of the “Traffic Light System” (Red, Orange, or Green). We have placed additional Covid-19 information in your villa to read at your leisure. 

At Platinum the safety and well-being of our guests and team members is paramount.  100% of our team are fully vaccinated, and we take pride in maintaining the highest hygiene standards to help protect all guests to the best of our ability.

Arrival and Self-Check-In Process

Platinum will continue to operate a contactless self-check-in process and information regarding this process will be sent the day before arrival.

Payment will be processed on the day of arrival and a receipt placed in the guest registration folder located on the desk in your villa.

During your stay

Physical distancing from other guests around the property excluding friends and family is required and you must wear a face covering in public areas including reception.


Should you require any housekeeping or maintenance service during your stay, a request is to be made with reception. This will be arranged at a suitable time when you are not occupying the villa.

Additional cleaning protocols have been implemented over and above our regular high standards, including sanitisation of all high touch points throughout.


Guests are welcome to leave their villa keys on the kitchen bench and pull the door closed on departure or in the drop box located on the reception counter.

Our staff

All staff have been trained in good hand hygiene to minimise potential transmission.

All staff will use the appropriate level of PPE for their role and task they are completing including wearing face coverings and may also use protective gloves. Face coverings are mandatory when entering a guest villa.

All staff have received specific training on the use of chemicals, especially for sanitising high touch point areas.

Any staff members who are feeling unwell will be required to stay at home.

Contact tracing is in place as a requirement for all our staff members.


Our staff are here to ensure your safety.

Our Duty Managers in reception can advise on locations for Covid testing, should a guest develop symptoms.

We encourage all guests to follow Ministry of Health good personal hygiene advice.

We also ask you to continue to be kind and consider others around the property during your stay.

We are grateful for your patience as we continue to navigate through these challenging times.

In the event of a confirmed or probable case of Covid-19 on site

Communication with the relevant authorities will be initiated immediately.

The villa in which the case stayed will be sealed for at least 72 hours after last contact. High grade cleaning of this room will be completed in accordance with the Ministry of Health guidelines.

Platinum will follow any other instructions given from the relevant Regional Health Authority.
